After the American Airline inauguration flight in Haiti second largest city, Cap-Haitian, the government continues with several renovations, including a master plan to illuminate the Citadelle, a large mountaintop fortress in northern Haiti built in the 18thcentury by the first and only king of Haiti, Henry Christophe. Citadelle is the largest fortress in the Americas and was designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Heritage Site in 1982.
